God gave us a conscience. It is the voice of our spirit.  He intends for us to keep it pure so that we have some inner radar to discern the path that leads to life.  The conscience must be maintained if we are to ever know what to do and what not to do.
 
Being wholly surrendered to Jesus means you are now answerable to a conviction that is bigger than you.  As you allow it to take possession, it will consciously dictate your decisions. Your heart can be a safe guide when you learn to center your thoughts, desires, and affections on the holiness of God.
 
Jesus is coming back for a glorious church without spot or wrinkle (Eph. 5:27). James tells us that pure religion and undefiled is to keep yourself unspotted from the world (Jam. 1:27). If we are going to be prepared for His coming then discovering the truth to holy living is the key to our readiness.
